We provide hands-on training to complement our online Care Academy training.
New employees are required to complete an in-depth orientation which includes 5 hours of caregiving related skills and topics*. Our leadership team includes care managers and support staff who are all available to provide extra oversight and skill instruction as needed to our caregivers, CNAs and Home Health Aides.
Hillendale’s fully equipped classroom allows us to evaluate and teach skills in a home like setting. With the assistance of our handsome life-like mannequin, caregivers can learn bathing, repositioning and transferring techniques just to name a few!
*Mandatory training covers Universal Precautions, HIPPA, In Home Safety and Body Mechanics, Basic Bedside Nursing and respecting a clients’ wishes.
